Erica Sandoval is a leader that delivers programs and services to non-profit organizations and diverse populations/communities. Erica has found great success as a Clinician, Executive Leader, Fellow at the Karen Horney Clinic, enCourage Kids Foundation, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Western Queens Consultation Center. Her dedication to serving the community is rooted in strategic partnerships with healthcare facilities and many medical professionals. She supports children, adolescents, young adults with chronic/critical illnesses, essential workers, medical professionals, LatinX professionals, undocumented residents, social work students and professionals.
With a focus on giving back to the community, she has also served in several volunteer leadership positions, which include the role of President at the National Association of Social Workers- NYC, where she strategically advocates for social workers and the social work profession and enhances the profession's credibility and influence at state and local levels. She also serves as Vice President of Education at Prospanica NY, where she helps to empower and enable LatinX MBAs and business professionals to achieve their full educational, economic, and social potential.
She continues to serve as Treasurer at the Latino Social Work Coalition, where she is focused on empowering LatinX Social Workers to pursue excellence in education and clinical practice. Erica holds a Post Masters Certificate in Clinical Adolescents from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, a Master of Social Work (MSW) from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Arts in Adolescent Development. In addition to her education, she is a proud mother to her 20 year old daughter, who she raised as a single mother, which provided her with the best life lessons.
